AI-assisted control

Kindle MCP Dashboard

Ask an assistant to change the dashboard on an old Kindle's e-ink screen.

Independent community project. Device reports come from the original sources, not testing by Deviceways.

How to get started

Run the local renderer and MCP server, then open its page in the Kindle browser. Follow the port-80 notes for EY21.

Setup
Local MCP server and Kindle browser
You’ll need
Python, an MCP client such as Claude Code or Codex, and a Kindle on the same trusted network.

A jailbroken display client is optional. The dashboard server has no authentication; keep it on a trusted local network.
