Replacement firmware

Replace supported camera firmware with local RTSP and ONVIF video, browser controls and recording to an SD card or network storage.

How to get started

Match the camera’s hardware to the supported list and follow its installation page. The method may use an SD installer, USB Cloner, serial access or a flash programmer.

Setup
Replacement firmware; model-specific flashing method
You’ll need

Sources
SD-card add-on
Partial support documented

Add local video streaming, network-storage access and other tools while keeping the supported Wyze camera’s original firmware.

How to get started

Prepare the project’s FAT32 microSD card and configure its tools. Wyze v3 and Pan v2 use the SD add-on directly; v2 and Pan v1 also require the guide’s custom installation image.

Setup
SD-card add-on; additional installation image on v2 and Pan v1
You’ll need
Match model and firmware, including the documented video limits; keep microSD inserted.
Hardware revision not specified
Partial support documented

No separate retail hardware revision is recorded.

Required manufacturer firmware
RTSP/libcallback features require firmware <= 4.36.9.139
Setup
Read both the supported-device and firmware-compatibility tables.
Limitations
The maintainer explicitly reports inactive development and recommends Thingino. Newer firmware may allow root/SSH while RTSP and other libcallback features are unavailable. The supported-device table describes floodlight control as upcoming; camera support does not imply light control.
